Question Permanent Fuel Pressure Gauge mount in Engine Bay from Special T

Went through about 10 titles. They all sucked.

I bought the in-engine bay fuel pressure gauge mount "kit" from Special T Auto one night and just received it in the mail.

It comes with a braided line attached to a gauge and a banjo fitting at the end. No washers, nothing else. I was thinking I would place this where I placed the K-Jetronic Test kit when I hooked it up for testing like this video showed me .... but then it hit me that I'll have two banjo connections at one spot... and that can't be right.

So where the heck do I tap into the system without needing a super long banjo bolt with two holes to go into the Control Pressure Regulator to get my pressure reading??

I feel silly asking this! I must be missing something.

Does anyone have the kit installed? Or can someone slap some sense into me? Thanks!

I would think you use a longer banjo bolt onto the CPR so both lines stay connected. You would then be reading control pressure.

Daves right I mounted my gauge to the firewall next to the relay and connected it to the CPR. Works great and so far no leaks.

No drawing came with it to explain how and where to connect it?

Unfortunately, we are not able to see anything on the picture link above.
As John is on the forum, maybe he will be able to explain and show the rest of his picture?

Nothing came in the box except the gauge. It would be great to see a photo of johns connector. I'm assuming I can just take my banjo bolt out, go down to the auto parts store and grab a longer bolt? Does anyone have photos of the two banjo fittings on top of each other? Thanks again, I'm not sure why that weirds me out. Feels wrong.

You'll need a copper washer between the two fittings. Seems pretty crappy that it didn't come with a new bolt. I'd contact John about it. The bolts aren't that common.

    You might try this place:

I would verify the thread pitch of the current bolt. I also found an EBAY Uk source that has them in M8 x 1.25 pitch.

You bought the item from a Delorean vender. Get in touch with him and see what was supposed to come with it or if you had to buy additional hardware to make it work. Really no need to have a fuel gauge permanently attached. Once you get the fuel system working you will never look at it again.
