    52mm core radiator.

    Dear all,

As a little introduction: I'm Christophe, a French DeLorean owner (VIN#04271) and I help a French company to develop some parts for DeLoreans, sales are made directly by the company. They already made a proto that you can see on the photos.

I hope I posted in the appropriate section, if not, admins know what to do...

    Just to explain the plan:
We decided to start with a new radiator because we wanted to put all chances on our side to bring this project to its end and we believed that it's a safe bet.
The main goal was to get a radiator, like the one used in the race car Alpine Europa Cup, that could be easily installed on DeLorean with stock A/C, fan shroud and air duct.

We succeed in creating such big size radiator (52mm thick core), I installed it and test it in my car without any issue, the radiator fits perfectly without hitting fiberglass.
I did not test it stucked in a traffic jam under an heavy sun but I'm confident, it will handle that situation...
So now the time to produce it in serie arrives and I try to spread the information because that radiator will be sent free of shipping charge in all European countries and the price is nice (see details below).

Another point why I try to do my best to "sell" that project is that in case of success, other interesting parts could be produced too (any parts that owners would want to be realized as long as more than 10 people are interested, all suggestions are welcome). I hope you'll be interested in such projects.

    Here is a little story:

The proto when I did received it:

Difference between the one from Netherlands and the new one :

And here are some photos after having installed it (done as a breeze).
(Please, don't pay attention to dust and finger prints :mrgreen

And here are the final details:
Prices: Prices are shipping included for all European countries.
A surcharge will be applied to people living in other countries, USA, Canada, etc...
    For a pre order of 15 radiators : 250€ (About $351).
    For a pre order of 10 radiators : 275€ (About $387).

Warranty: One year, usually a direct replacement by a new radiator.

Deadline for the confirmation of the pre order: about the 31st of May or mid June, just to try to get the first batch ready to ship for summer.

Advance for the pre order: half ot the price.
Concerning this point, I will post here the details shortly.

After that first batch, this radiator will always be available through the company web store.

Feel free to contact me here or by pm for any question you may have.

Thanks for having took the time to read me.

    Best regards,

    Chris.

What are the parts constructed with? Copper fins? Aluminum end caps?

They look very well built. Nice looking welding.

    Hi,

Sorry for my late reply, I'm very busy at the moment at home, two 35 tons excavators are playing in our garden right now to arrange it...

To answer to your question, the radiator is completely made of aluminium and it fits the original parts of the cooling system, fan shroud and air duct even if the core is 52mm thick.

It is installed for 1 month now on my car and I won't go back to my old aluminium one.

Do some of you might be interested in a radiator? We are trying to start the first batch.

Not mine (the problem), I already have mine (the radiator)...

It's just for other people, to have a great radiator made by a company who made them for race cars, tested and approved in heavy conditions.

That's pretty cool, I like it! I actually have a "spare" NOS radiator sitting in the shed outside. I picked it up off ebay from a wrecked DeLorean, not sure which VIN number...

I would contact Josh Bengston (DPI Josh) on the forum. He may be interested in buying a couple for his shop since his parts source is changing. He likes selling the best parts for our cars, so this might be interesting to him. I'd buy one whenever I need a new radiator.
