    Vacuum Hoses - size?

    Hi there,
Does anyone know the proper size (ID) of the small vacuum hoses used around the engine, for example the ones used on 102405?

Those are 1/4" or 1/8" if memory serves. (Disclaimer: I haven't touched those hoses since 2008.)

Thanks! I'm looking for the OEM correct size. (I am a stickler for details). I tried to match them locally, and they looked close to 3/16 or 5/32.

    Cheers,
    Dana

If you are going to be a stickler, then you will need metric hoses...

The hose on the heater valve is real small. I think I got 3 mm but that is just what I remember. I think that was the only hose that listed the size in metric.

Thanks all! So 3mm all around or just for the heater valve? Also I see that 3mm is roughly equivalent to 1/8 inch.

The smaller ID hose will hold onto the nipples better. There really is not any volume of air flow needed with larger hose.
