Are there any other car frames that a Delorean body would fit on? I have my doubts as there are few rear eng. cars. thought I'd ask anyway.

If memory serves, the "Time Machine" in the third "Back to the Future" film was a Volkswagen with a DeLorean body atop it.

Maybe I can answer the VW question as I have owned a least one air cooled VW for the past 12 years.
The VW Bug frame is just a metal tube down the center of the car with the suspension up front and an opening in the rear for the engine. The floor pans are just welded to this tube and bolted to the body on the outside edges. Since the frames are "similar" to the DeLorean, I would say it's possible.
Yes it is true that BTTF 3 equipped a D body onto a VW frame and the car kept the VW Engine. If you watch the movie again and watch the parts of Marty driving from the Indians you can see the VW engine.
Now all that being said, to answer your original question "Are there any other car frames that a DeLorean body would fit on?" I would say yes, but I'm sure it would take a lot of modification. Who knows what was done to that VW frame. Stretched, shortened, etc.
Does it have a flux capacitor?
Does it run on 1.21 Giggawatts?
Have you been chased by terrorist?
No but I have been chased by ladies because it’s a chick magnet!
