    Changing the shift arm..

Hey guys, I am curious as to what is involved with replacing the shifter arm. I have a stainless DPI arm and I can't wait to install it. Does the Body need to be lifted a couple inches to do this?

What part are you referring to? Are you talking about the gear change lever inside the car or the shift linkage under the car? Both do not require lifting the body up at all but the ones under the car are more of a PITA to work with since there are small access holes you have to work through.

You'll need to remove the console cover and rubber mat at a minimum and probably the console to be safe. Otherwise, once that's out you should have full access to the shift mechanism.

The Shifter in the car. Thanks Nick, I have the SS DPI arm, I think this is a nice touch to the center of the car!
