    Separation Anxiety

A big shot out and huge thank you to Ed and Cory with the Delorean Midwest connection.

These fine gentlemen came over on Friday and helped me separate the frame from the body.

Ed came over all kinds of prepared and organized, complete with check list and extra fire extinguisher.

Cory shows up with the skills and muscle, lifted the whole body himself with just one finger.

With their help we were able to get the whole job done in less than 8 hours.

Here is a link to Ed's blog where he writes a bit about the process.

Here is a few pics of the aftermath.

    Now the real work begins.

very cool. tho what i found even cooler was the MaxJack
ive been looking to eventually get a lift for the garage so im not constnatly on my back. but with limited space, a lift would really hamper garage movement. additionally i dont have a lot of garage height. that system is definitely something that ill have to look into.

The MaxJax worked great. I read about a lot of different lifts and this really did do the job well.

I would recommend really looking into the floor you are installing into.

The old cement that was only about 4" deep did not like it to well.

My garage floor is in bad shape in the first place soooo....

I will only need to use it once more.

I would have LOVED to use the MaxJax when I did my frame-off restoration several years ago. I had to use cinder blocks, a floor jack and some 4x4s.
