I'm just guessing here, but this strikes me as market research for how to maximize profit via the drip-selling on eBay. Owners contact "Carter" with the parts that are most sought after, and then "Carter" can make sure those are the items that get priority listing from the DeLorean One remaining stock via their eBay account (Millieone).

Case in point the just advertised DeLorean frame on eBay, advertised here by our good friend "Carter".

Mr Wright there are those of us that have been around the circles for quite awhile nontheless the DeLorean community is a very small community.

Oh wait there are only possibly 6000- 9000 built cars although only about 6000 acounted for AND LOTS OF BANKRUPTCY INVENTORY that the cartel has........and only a few other "Dealers" of "stuff"

    So anywhoo

you have only 6 postings and there is no evidence that you exist....unless Aliens have just puked out their DeLorean remnants possibly from the 3000 missing cars .................... the community knows who has the stuff

produce a list so that we all may be bidders

Or maybe we will flood your email with individual requests! yep I need about 1000 differents things please look forward to my emails!
Sorry to burst anyone's bubble here but most of the inventory is junk or only usefull to a full-on Delorean restoration shop. Carter Wright is a figment of Ed's imagination and most of the Ebay items I've seen from Millieone recently have misrepresented the articles in question based on my many hours of trying to sort through the mess. This isn't really funny stuff suitable for popcorn viewing. it's about the the potential for a lot of people to be taken advantage of. Why does it always seem the good guys get the shaft and the bad guys get the money. I just don't understand people!

you are a man of great integrity and respect

My post was meant to be satire hence the Alien reference and a way to get rid of the "issue" hence the instruction :

"send email for each part you are looking for or ever think you may be looking for"

this usually kills the email server or "issue" due to overload of emails

this was not meant to actually expect to get a part

This sure seems like a scam to me. I emailed Carter for a list, which he wouldn't give me. Then I emailed him and asked for a specific part, which he wouldn't give me a price on. Then I emailed him for a phone number, which he wouldn't give me. Then today, carter emailed me and told me :

Hi Tony, I will get that information for you as soon as I can...But RIGHT NOW, check eBay item #121704461513 DeLorean Frame (your choice)..
I think this will sell as soon as the right buyer sees the listing. Good Luck if you need it. Regards, Carter

And of course, that ebay item is a frame from millieone, ed's wife. Which is really odd, because in Carter's post (see below) he talks about "this ed bernstein guy" and implies that he has no idea who he is. But oddly, his emails to me about the part he has for sale are from "this ed guy's" wife.

I am not sure what the end game is here, but I certainly won't touch anything with a 10' pole. When someone won't give a phone number or price, it is suspicious.

I really don’t know you guys, but I have taken a bit of time and done a little research on the internet and discovered that you repair DeLorean Automobiles and also sell them. That’s pretty neat. What I don’t understand is why you both are so up-tight with this Ed Bernstein guy. It seems that he is pretty much a has-been in the world of DeLorean cars. Someone wrote that he used to own a real estate company in Beverly Hills, California, but I think he is out of the business. Now, that’s a business I can identify with. From time to time during the past 5 years I have been purchasing, fixing-up and “flipping” houses in San Francisco, Los Angeles and San Diego. I can certainly relate to your frustration regarding trying to negotiate the purchase of something for over a year and finally giving-up and walking away. If I were in your shoes, I would do the same thing. I have been in deals where the seller was a “dork” so I figured “the heck with him” and just walked away. Some of the deals were “very good” but it just wasn’t worth the effort!
Since your negotiations with this Bernstein Dude have fallen apart and since this is a DeLorean Automobile Talk/Chat website, I think it would be of interest to everyone that Josh and Rob post their offers to purchase DeLorean One and DeLorean One’s written replies to their offers, so we can all evaluate the correspondence pertaining to the matter. To tell the truth, I can’t figure out any reason why either one of you would like to purchase his stuff if it has no value to you.
I negotiate contracts all the time and from what I am reading on this DMC TALK website this is a “he said – she said” situation with no tangible evidence of an offer and/or acceptance. In addition, there are frivolous comments by those who are posting with no first-hand knowledge of the facts and what is going on.
Josh said, “Between Grady and I we have both been willing to pay you more than a reasonable price. After watching him fight with you on price for the better part of a year I shouldn’t have wasted my time.”
Rob said, “I spent a lot of time talking to Ed over the years and especially this last year trying to negotiate a fair deal on this inventory”.
Please help me here fellas; were both of you trying to buy the DeLorean One inventory together as a team/partnership or individually as separate companies?
Let’s post the offers and counter proposals on this internet DMC “chat-line” so we all can see for ourselves what transpired over the past several months and stop this “hearsay baloney”.
We appear to be a bunch of fools to general public and you guys look like a couple of High School Track Runners that are that are mouthing-off around Campus because you want to go to the Prom with the Home Coming Queen and she turned you down because she wants to go to the Prom with the Captain of the Varsity Football Team. I’m Carter Wright, and that’s my position. [email protected]

    Post Rubber & Plastic

Here 3037 currently sits in my garage in a condition that the any lookey looker would say, "Damn - immaculate!" First and foremost, I'm very grateful to thank the vendor's DMC Texas (Jeff at Sales), Grady, Josh DPI, Millie on eBay and John Hervey. Vendors you could confirm me as a Buyer by looking at your Customer List, so ...

To be honest, 3037 was a barn find. I do thank heavily both Jeff and Millie for coming thru on reasonable prices on parts I know I could of never would of found locally or online. All helped me on making sure I replaced all the needed Rubber and plastic items needed to bring 3037 back to what it needed to be. Millie/Ed were very instrumental beyond what you would averagely expect to provide me with the knowledge in buying the right part for 3037. I personally thank them for being reasonable on and off eBay. All vendors have educated me, a certified car restorer, and walked me through the right parts I need and thank you to you. I don't understand your specifics, but I tell you as a Sociologist, I tell you as a random sample buyer I have not yet to experience a shitty part order from any of these vendors.

    My purchase experience as follows:

DMC Texas: Ordered a knee pad and they did not have it available - Jeff refunded me 100% and guaranteed refund. Was first on waiting list.
John Hervey: Issue with seat covers; John instantly sent a perfect replacement and I had no issue and installed the covers next day.
Millie/Ed: Authentic parts and prices for parts purchased on eBay both at reasonable prices/ bulk or not, look me up: Hostwave (User ID)
John DPI: SS Screw kit for sunvisors and rivets. Quality and no where else to be found!
PJ Grady: Bought strut kit; Far better performing than DMC HQ company parts performed.

So - member reading each of these vendors are in the business for business. I have no negative qualms and recommend each of them as they each stand behind their product and customer service.

If you are going to bash these vendors than bash them to when they fail you as the customer, the individual. Overall, they are in the business for business and Customer Service is their true calling and making your dream happen. Each of these vendors mean well. Regardless reproducing a part (locally or away) or the last of the last of original DeLorean parts in existence - they all mean well and need to make a living and want to help you with keeping your dream alive.

    Thank you.

I have no beef with Ed or his wife. I bought a LF fender off of them which they had listed on eBay a few years back. I paid $800 for it, replaced the missing rub strip and resold it for several thousand to a nice gentleman who had unfortunately just had his D side-swiped. I was happy with the transaction.Their shipping was prompt, and the fender made it in one piece. The hefty profit was nice, as it allowed me to spend a ton of money on my car. Thanks ED !!

BTW...The name Carter Wright sounds like a football player...or maybe a 70's porn star?? Just Teasing....

    Thank you.
Ed didn't allow people without cars to buy parts. He also blacklisted VINs from access to parts, even if the car changed hands.

    Hey Dave,

Not here to defend Ed. But I doubt he is doing that to people who are eBay buying because I've bought many parts (Fuel gauges, etc) without disclosing my VIN and have no issues. All items arrived at home. I have no idea to why someone would black list a VIN even if they exchanged hands. From my vendors listed above; I've never been asked for my VIN. Not sure if that's common practice - all parts I've seen online, bought and have arrived without issue/s.
