    Lowering Shocks: current recommendations?

    Hi there,

I am considering lowering shocks, and I wanted to get current recommendations. I already have the springs. I'm not interested in the setup that requires a collar to be clamped onto a regular shock.

I have read that Spax units fail prematurely. Is there any truth to this?

If anybody has DMCH performance shocks, how do you like them? Do they last? http://store.delorean.com/p-7369-per...shock-set.aspx

Does anybody have Ed Uding's shock package? http://www.delorean.eu/catalog/produ...ducts_id=99002

    Any other options?

    Thanks!
    Dana

There are also Protech ones from the UK: http://www.deloreans.co.uk/forum/vie...hp?f=20&t=4747 These seem very well made and there are some from Germany but I cant seem to find the link at the moment, I'm sure someone will post this for you.

Thanks for the recommendation. Are they the ones pictured with the red bushings?

I was confused by this thread: http://dmctalk.org/showthread.php?11...eu-vs-MidState as it seemed to suggest that all of the DMC affiliates now carry either the black painted Spax units, or the ones pictured on Ed's website. Does anybody know?

    Shocks

We do this shock sets for 8 years now in Europe, and stay with it.
I see to many cheap shocks set that fail a way to fast.
The ride with right springs and front lower arm supports make it a other car.

Excellent! That clears up the shock options picture!

    Thank you all.
