The post with the 928 seats pictured are later 928 Sport seats.

The post #4 , the last picture are Porsche 996 seats, regular.

I have put late 80s VW GTI Recaros in my Delorean before and they fit very nice. I had to make adapter plates.

ive worked on a few 928s and I love the seat design and feel too. They are full power and very heavy too like 65lbs each! It would be possible but alot of work to gut the bases, de power them and thin them down to fit in a DMC but too tall otherwise. That would be a bitchin 80's period mod. In fact thats not a bad idea for my '75 Volvo 282R built, I need some more supportive seats that dont look too modern.

I’m reading that the 928 seats are 36 inches tall. Does that seem right to you?

Possibly, I dont think I ever measured them, they are pretty big for a coupe with no air bags built in.

I might be able to get some measurements off a junkyard seat today.

No more 928s at the local dismantler.

Simpler question for me: where can you try sitting in a bunch of seats? Summit Racing only had like 6 on display, Sparco fit me best but I only tried like 2 brands because that's all they had on the floor.

I don't see how you can do any better than keeping the original seats and going with the vinyl alligator seat covers sold by Delorean Auto Parts for only $449.99.
