    Meet 1098

    Friends,

I'm proud to announce that as of last Friday, Laura and I have acquired another DeLorean. This time, we opted to get a car that was already in great condition. VIN 1098 is a very early 81, with black interior, 5spd, dark grey rims, and a flap hood, which is the magical combination of features we have always wanted. The best part? Only 7500 miles on the clock.

I'm looking forward to a long road of DMC adventures with our newest family member!

Congratulations Brandon! The car looks great.

Judging by the first picture, I'm guessing you got it from DMCFL?

    Cheers,

Absolutely! I might need to enlist the assistance of your manual transmission prowess/knowledge; my shifter is a bit wonky, methinks.

Congrats on getting back into the game! She looks a beauty from the pics so far, and you can't really go wrong quality wise buying from Tony at DMC Florida. My 1150 had almost exactly the same mileage when I got her from them almost 5 years ago and she's up to 36,500 mostly trouble free daily driver miles now. I hope you will see similar service from 1098, who most likely shared the factory floor space at the same time in April 1981. Had you not been craving a manual tranny over an automatic, I could well have been handing my keys over to you, old friend. If I haven't already sold her by Celebration next spring it'll be nice to park next to you & compare all those nifty "early car" features, or maybe sooner if you guys drive down for the Back To The Future Cruise To End Parkinson's www.bttfcruise.com here in Fort Lauderdale in November, it's on Oasis Of The Seas so you'll feel right at home, LOL. And if you ARE sailing with us but don't have your cabin booked yet, do it NOW as the rates on remaining unbooked cabins are about to skyrocket as our group's advance discount block runs out ;-)

I'll definitely be at Celebration next year. We won't be able to attend the cruise, unfortunately.
