North Carolina Tech Event (Fall 2015)-Saturday October 10th in Lexington NC

It is time once again to announce the tech session for this fall. As stated, the date is Saturday October 10th at my house as usual. Please list your name, if you are bringing anyone else, and if you are bringing a DeLorean. Also, please list if you would like to work on your car and what it may need. I'm down to one DeLorean right now; 888 (sad I know). No worries as the other 2 are getting some spa time at DPI. 888 needs some brake work, but not entirely sure what we could get accomplished on it. The calipers are dragging, especially on the front, so I would probably need to change those out. I haven't ordered any parts for it yet. If anyone attending wants to try and do some brake work, I can order the parts and we can see what we can get done there. Ok, who is coming?

I'm in. No car, just myself for now.

I'm happy to do your brake work. Just let me know what tools you have or what I need to bring (i have everything necessary if you are missing anything) including air tools and my compressor.

I may come as alumni. Also not bringing a DeLorean, mine's off to live in Norway, but I may have another interesting car to bring.

It seems that my luck is holding.......your date and mine never really work out for me. This time I will be spending a week in Bar Harbor..Tough duty, but somebody has got to do it. Have a great day.

I should be able to make it, with my car as usual. I'd be happy to help with your brake work also. I'll bring the pump I made for bleeding the brakes, it's a lot easier than the old pedal pump method. Let me know if you need anything else, sounds like between Mike and I you'll be all set.

I need to do my brakes as well as I last rebuilt the calipers over 10 years ago now, but that'll be a bigger project than I want to get into in your driveway.

    See you guys then,
    Todd

Just a little bump here to make sure anyone that is interested can see this. Regarding the brake work, I have some parts including four calipers, four factory rotors, have wheel bearings in hubs, master cylinder, flexible lines and other assorted worst case components that are ready to be installed. I don't have a whole lot of tools and stuff, just the basics. Please bring anything that you think you may need or want to help accomplish this job, including jack stands and such. If we can knock out the brake work fast enough, I also have early VIN coolant routing that I want to reinstall on the car for originality sake.

Great Jimmy! Glad to have you. I think I sent you my address on Facebook. I would suggest coming at about 10:00. Most people arrive by at least noon. We should be able to troubleshoot both your overheating issue and doors, no problem.

I'm also working on a little "surprise" for everyone. Hopefully this will work out.

I'll be there and I'll be bringing some goodies: I have a Covercraft Heat Shield that I paid about $50 for in April. Custom fitted to the DeLorean. I looking to sell to anyone who wants it for $35. Also, I have a CoverKing custom car cover for DeLorean that I paid about $200 for a couple of years ago. I've never used it, in fact, it's never been out of the box. I'll let this baby go for the insanely low price of $150. Both of these delivered to you at the tech event. See you there!
