I doubt that everyone that bought one of yours was in need of a replacement part. They were likely more interested in it given it's obvious differences compared to an original.
You are not making the same part. A small price drop could be justified now that there is another option available, but you certainly shouldn't force yourself to loose money on this project.
My 2 cents, but I'm sure some others would agree.
You're not selling the same apples as Josh. He is selling a repro of the original design. You're offering a different made part. It stands to reason the manufacturing process and materials are going to cost more therefore the part will cost more. It's up to people to decide which they want to buy with their money.

Personally, I much prefer the dual O-ring seal that Gary incorporated. If they ever need replacing it can be done for a few dollars.
Speaking of O-ring, what is the nominal size? Should they need replacing years from now.
