    Delorean "open" hood icon

I am installing a push button momentary switch that will operate a remote hood release actuator and I would like to decorate the top of the button with a graphic that indicates what it does when pushed. Kinds like this one for a standard car (but of course with the profile of our beautiful car and with the hood opening the "proper" way). The button is pretty small (10mm), so maybe only the front end portion of the car would make sense

Anyway, has anyone ever seen a graphic like this for our car?

Make sure you still retain some manual method of opening the hood "just in case".

Your best bet is probably to get some clip art of the side profile of the car, and just erase every line inside of the outer silhouette. Once that's done, just draw a line up to represent the bonnet, or the louvers/engine cover for whatever end of the car it's supposed to be.

I did. I am using the Remote Trunk Release that Toby sells and it integrates very nicely with the existing manual release mechanism so you can use either manual or automatic.

Thanks for the icons. I can probably use the first one and trace what I want.

    Thanks,

How funny, I don't think I've ever noticed that icon on the handle.

I don't think that much of anyone has ever noticed it. It's usually buried back in the carpet. Probably just an off the shelf part that the factory figured no one would ever look at. Kinda irritating the first time I discovered it, but I'm sure as soon as someone with bad enough OCD realizes this incorrect icon exists in their car, there will be a great undertaking in search of a custom knob.
