My VIN: 11633 (and formerly 3133)
11633 has been out when rain started a couple of times. Both times (including about 15 minutes ago) it is incredibly difficult to get it started. This time I actually ran out of juice from cranking and had to boost it. When it did start, it revved up so high I had to shut it down almost immediately. Something (I believe belts slipping) made one hell of a noise, and there was a burning smell.
Are there any common culprits I should look for in wet weather which might cause this?

Maybe water leak near the distributor or coil.

If you don't have a coil cover all that water can make its way into your connectors.
Make sure your spark plug boots are fully seated too, sometimes water will get down into that area and cause problems. I'd pull them one by one to see if that was the culprit.

It's always a good idea to keep one or two of these in your car.
If you don't have any compressed air to blow the water out of the sparkplug wells, a straw works rather well in a pinch. Just remember to close your eyes first.

If all else fails, check the milli vanilli connection. It's located in the fake air intake opening, where the power antenna sometimes is.
