may seem silly but what is the correct way.
to make window go down should you push the back of the console switch or the front? *(to the front of the car)
i have a feeling mine is the wrong way round

I have mine pushing down (forward) to raise the window..dunno why..just seemed the way. But then I've been literally putting mine together
like a model kit without instructions (came some assemble req'd)...hehe.

With my car, I push the down/front side of the button for down. Rear/back side for up.
That's the way I got it and when I installed the new LED buttons I kept it the same. (I'm an old dog and can't learn New things)...

Front = Down
Rear = Up
I'm not sure if you could even install the switches the other way because of the keyed groove on the one side?
It drove me nuts for a while because on my 87 Camaro it also has the window switches in a similar position in the center console and they function opposite the DeLorean.
My window regulators are shot on the DeLorean also so when the windows are up and I hit up instead of down I get a lovely grinding noise.

If your switches werent in the console you could easily put them in the other way...hehe. My car was pretty much pulled apart.

You can reverse which way they work even with the switch keyed for install one way. Just reverse the two motor wires in the connector.
Mine also work forward for down. My Malibu works that way but my Impala works opposite.

Mine are opposite what most of you here said.
I push mine forward on the switch to make the window go up, and push the rear end of the switch to make them go down.
I used to remember it by thinking "up front" like front = up and rear = down.
You remember that car that had labels all over everything? Like a label maker with the words up, down, off, on? Not sure I saved the pic of that one.

I think of it like flying an airplane. Push forward (on yoke or stick) to make it go down.

My left one is forward=down. Back=up. My right one is the opposite.
