Back In Time : New BTTF Documentary

I haven't finished it yet, but speaking form someone who can be non-biased when it comes to BTTF, I found it interesting. I took note of Bob Gale's mention that all the Eric Stoltz footage has been saved and will be released (sometime).

    Now avaliable on Netflix

Watched it yesterday, really enjoyed it. I also liked the acoustic guitar version of the BTTF Theme that they use throughout the film...it's got a great sound to it.

This popped up on my Netflix spotlight screen over the weekend, so I watched it. There's definitely no new information here; and much of the fan/convention footage is cringeworthy, IMO. I am a lover of documentaries, and I can't say this one was particularly good. At least it was pretty complimentary of the DeLorean car, though.

Oliver and Terry's part of the film was probably my favorite part

Pretty decent flick. I liked it. A few more seconds of the Eric Stoltz footage that I've never seen before.

Kind of disappointed though that it didn't explore the Bob Gale/Crispin Glover controversy, but I understand that this was really less about the movie's production and more about the impact it had on the fans.

Overall I thought it was entertaining and had interesting content. The editing was a little disjointed though and it felt like several shorter documentaries all patched together. A few of the segments didn't really have any type of conclusion before simply moving on to the next topic.

The beginning was probably the best when they were talking about the development of the film, the history behind the story, and the writing of the screenplay. The segment on Terry and Oliver was very good as well. It seems like there was a definite focus on how the film impacted a few specific people without getting into the cultural impact in a more general sense. Definitely worth watching though.

I'm looking forward to the full version of the OUTATIME documentary which focuses mainly on the car.

I was at WGB and saw the premier. It's great. Much better than Back in Time, IMO. Cohesive. Conclusive.

The bluray is only $15 with all the extra content. I already bought mine. Worth it.

    What he said.

I checked it out last night. Wow, almost 2 hours! But it was worth it. I like to see and listen to the story how it all came together. And Lea Thompson and Claudia Wells are quite a catch. I did not see other documentaries especially with them before. I should get to the next DCS! And it was great to see a few people in there that I, so far, only know from this very forum!

The way I see it, if you're gonna drive around in a car, why not do it with some style?
