Is this off my car?

We live on a dirt road, and at times it can get pretty rough, especially after a hard rain. So when I'm having to take the D somewhere I always fear the road might be causing some damage, no matter how slow I go.
Yesterday as I was heading off to do a BTTF event, I saw this rubber part in the middle of the road. I had driven the car the day before to get it on a lift so I could check the trans fluid levels.
