Over the past 3 weeks I have been working on a digital dash project.
As of now I am only working on the software side, eventually I will have to make changes to fit whatever screen I end up using
The Program is called Processing, which is a type of java.
I have the program running and talking to an Arduino board. The program takes values from the Arduino and applies it to the gauges. As of right now I have a screen hooked up with a menu so I can pick the value I want to send. Eventually sensor data will be polled and sent.
Once I have have the ground work done I'll be making quite a few different dashboard types that can be selected though the dash menu system.
I posted a a few pics and 2 videos. I have more work done, but I don't have permission to use this person's image I used so I'll post more as I redraw it.
The font is wrong, but I will change that later. Anyone know the name of the font?
eventually I will have it installed in the car (maybe by the show in July, I'm hoping)
p.s. Does anyone have any high res shots of the prototype dash? I want to model it as a working dash. I have quite a few pictures but I cannot get enough detail on it.
The font is called "rustproof". If that helps. Also, check out my thread on custom gauge/dash designs, under Modern Dash Look here, http://dmctalk.org/showthread.php?t=11785, or my site at http://gregschumsky.com under concepts and illustrations. Lots of different ideas I vetted out here on the forum.
And I can send you the PSD's if you want to use any of them.

I have that font but it is only the Delorean logo typeface, Does your copy have the Dashboard font. I looked at you images and it also doesn't seem to match it. That may take some more searching.
Sure, send them along, I could always use different styles. I'll recreate them in processing and you can see how they look when the are moving with data [email protected]
I personally like the C4 Corvette dash. We had an 85, and I still love the body style, being able to stow the roof behind the seats as it had a slotted shelf the top locked into, the 5 speed manual with overdrive, the whole one piece front hood like on a Jaguar for super easy engine access, the get up and go, the huge engine, the sound, the comfy seats, and so on and so forth. Plus you can find them now in pretty decent shape for pretty cheap. There's one by my house that's been sitting in a guys yard for a while - I've been wondering if he'd sell for cheap or just let me buy the digital dash.
I have a bunch of photos of the Proto-1 Dash. I was going to use them to make another dash t-shirt. They aren't the best quality but when I have time at home I will upload them here.
