Engine running with A/C - very slight loss of power
Got a question for the experts.
I drove the D the other day and ran the A/C (tried to even when it's not hot outside) and notice there was a small hesitation with the A/C running. Like a small resistance in constant speed, maybe a small chugging feeling? Doesn't stall or completely drop revs. Just you can feel the feathering of a slight loss of power say cruising along the freeway. My Mrs couldn't feel it, but I can so that's how subtle it is.
Any ideas?

Normal operation. In fact, if you pay careful attention, you can feel when the radiator fans kick in, it puts a BIG drag on the electrical system. That may be more what you feel than some loss of engine power. Anyway as they say in the world of Lotus, TADTS. "They All Do That, SIR!". You feel it in the accelerator pedal.

I can see the Volts drop, but the chugging power seems new to me. Or maybe I just don't drive the car enough to remember that is what it does! LOL
I will just have to push my foot down a little harder then!

LOL I know the loss of power, but does it chug a little under power? Like a hiccup?

It shouldn't chug...maybe get a teenager to listen for hissing around the mode selector while the air is on....

No, but you're a Stage 1, right? Exaggerated by that perhaps?

Yeah, Stage 1.
Will try and listen for a hiss, but I will take her for another drive this weekend. Getting warm here in Melbourne.
