Lightbulb original SPARE TYRE word of warning

I brought a spare space saver tyre to place on my D rim. it was off a primera.

The original spare (from 1982) pumped up and took air and didn't leak so decided to keep using it.

once the spare was under load on my d it began to leak after a few hours. I then drove 1 km to my garage to

get the new spare on the rim and on the way it went flat i got 100 meters from the tyre place.

I am sure every one knows this but the original spare may pump up and seem good but once its on the car its a time bomb!

If you have the original spare tyre change it :-) and throw it its great peace of mind

About 2 years ago, I replaced original tire with a new one. About a year later, inside of trunk, it was already flat. I took it out and now I have a flat repair kit with a pump instead. And AAA card.

Fresh can of Fix-A-Flat every spring and a portable air compressor in my trunk. I keep jumper cables, spare belts and some tools in the spare tire well.

Look, I just trying to help the OP.
If you guys want to parade around with your balls hanging out and do the our forum is better than theirs chant, that's your buisness. Again, I was just trying to help the OP on this topic of spare tires.

WTF?! Talk about trying your hardest to aggressively shove a point out of absolutely nowhere...

I simply made a joke about your use of the word today for a problem the OP had yesterday using one of the most hilarious lines from the movie Wedding Singer. I even used the "hysterical" emoticon to clearly indicate the tone and point of the post. This is standard etiquette no matter which "forum" you want to "hang your balls out" at, or whatever point you're trying to make.

Yea I got my spare replaced a couple years ago. The original had turned rock solid but held no air pressure. It was a giant pain to find a replacement, but finally found one that was only a couple years old. It is still holding the same pressure after 2 years from when I pumped it up and installed it back into the car. Hopefully it works should I unfortunately ever need to actually use it.
