    Ballast resistor connections

Recently I've noticed two of the connections on my ballast resistor were showing signs of corrosion. When I went in for a closer look the wire broke off one connector and the double connecton just broke into two pieces. I have soderless crimp connectors and I used that to repair the broken connections but is this safe to do? Should they be a special type of connectors or will the regular ones due?

    Thanks,

Regular connectors should work. There are some higher pressure connectors but I don't think those come in insulated types. The ballast resistor have stainless steel pins.
