Top 5 traits of a gdc. (good delorean customer)

I thought I'd ask the question, and these are the answers I got.
Feel free to have your own opinions, but it's insightful, if you're not a Full-Time DeLorean Service Professional.

Top 5 Traits of a Good DeLorean Customer (GDC):
    1. Awareness of factors involved. Pre-educated. Via Forums, Service Manuals, Buyers Guide, (takes advantage of available information.)
    2. Realistic and reasonable expectations (35 year old car) must be ready for whatever is discovered under the various layers. $1000./year rule of thumb. (Be prepared to spend an average of $1000. per year, for every year the car has sat in storage in order to restore it. Also, be prepared to spend an average of $1000. per year to regularly maintain the car.
    3. Can afford owning the car.
    4. Have a written clear / specific goal in mind for what you want the car to look like/ how you want it to function.
    5. Mutual trust.

Hi Oliver. I think this is a good list.

For a new/ prospective owner, I will add emphasis to #1 and #4. It will make your restoration plan or part orders a little bit easier.

    P.S. 600,000 miles so far?

Every bit of the mileage can be verified. They drive their car all year long like a truck driver.

Single car, but it has certainly 'evolved' since our ownership began in 2001. Only had 88,000 miles on it then. I know, what a great number...
Biggest trip was driving from Orlando to Anchorage, Alaska. That was a long drive, but full of stories!
Best trips? Driving on top of an active volcano in Hawaii, and driving for hours on the train tracks with rail wheels for We're Going Back are the more recent, but the Best trip is always the 'Next Trip!'
