Trying to hook up AC inverter to run LED/ fog machine off 12 volt Optima in trunk

The Powermaster 2000 DC to AC inverter that I'm planning to install in trunk to run a fog machine and LED lights occassionally for friends and family fun says it should be grounded. It only has like a 3 foot grounding cable, where should I hook it to fro proper/best grounding in front half of car? Can it be hooked to frame somewhere near the left front tire?

I would attach the ground to the frame.
