Stage II, '81, Auto, Black Interior, Gas Flap, 29,950 miles - $33K

VIN 01623, Stage II, June 1981 build, Automatic, Black Interior, Gas Flap Hood, 29,950 miles - Asking $45,000

I purchased this car in 2008 from Sarasota, FL and took it to DMC FL, where I spent over $25K restoring and converting to Stage II. I have the invoice available for anyone seriously interested. I have driven the car regularly for about 8 years with no major problems. Very reliable, never has broken down or stalled, and never fails to start.

    No accidents
    Clean title in hand
Always garaged, and only driven in good weather
No dents, just one tiny dimple on edge of hood, barely noticable
No smoke or pets inside, no odors

    Included:
    DMC car cover with bag
    Covercraft sunshade with bag
    Original owner's manual
    All records and receipts
    Any extra parts I have
Framed reproduction of original window sticker
A few DMC items (keychains, etc)

    All known issues:
AC needs recharge/leak fix. Cooled great for years, then developed a slow leak.
Driver's door sagging. New struts installed, so it may need torsion bar adjustment.
Driver's door needs adjustment, starting to rub T-panel slightly.
Small amount of rust can be seen below hinge when door is open.
Rear fascia paint has bubbled in two spots, near the engine cover.
Minor transmission fluid leak, just a few drops after sitting for a week.

These are the only issues I am aware of. The car runs, shifts, brakes, looks, and sounds great, but being 35 years old, it will be sold as is, without a warranty.
Car is located in Sharpsburg, GA, just south of Atlanta.
Serious inquiries only please, but feel free to ask questions, or come inspect the car.
    Call Mark at (678) 358-7600.

Bump. I still have this car for sale, still in the same condition, with about 50 additional miles.

I want to provide a little more information for those with questions. I am selling due to an unfortunate family situation. I know the car has a few issues that should be addressed (all of which are listed above), so I am trying to price it accordingly. I do not have the funds or time available to have the repairs done prior to selling. For this reason, I am reducing the price to $35,000. At this price, I do not have any room for negotiations, but I feel like this is a very fair price for this car. If you are interested, please call me at (678) 358-7600.

My insurance is coming up for renewal, so I am dropping the price to $33,000 to get it sold.

    Hi, Mark:

Nice car! What does the Stage II do for the performance of an automatic? Do you have any numbers or a dyno test showing BHP or a 0-60 time?

    Thanks!

Thanks, but no, I don't have any of the technical info. You may find that on DMC's site, or in other threads here. I can tell you that the upgrade provides a noticeable increase in power.

It's an increase of approximately 30 horsepower. Noticeable, and the sound improvement is fantastic.

0-60 time for a Stage 2 automatic should be around 8.5, compared to the 10.5 in stock form.
