    6 total (5 + my car)

One was a black interior automatic, the rest were grey 5-speeds (including mine).

Just my own......but I would love to compare my ride with other people's.
You can't buy happiness, but you can buy a DeLorean and that's sort of the same thing....

I lost count a long time ago, but easily a few dozen. It always amazed me how utterly different each one was, too. Most of that can be chalked up to usage, maintenance, and upgrades; but still, no two seem to drive/ride/handle/idle/sound totally alike.

That's what I found out too, not counting the aftermarket mods.

One car I drove the front end lifted up after 60 mph and got lighter it seemed. Where as the rest of them the front ends were firmly on the ground.

    Go figure...

Not a single one! I'm still waiting for my DeLorean to be finished, and I've never had the opportunity to drive any other ones. I don't know anybody that owns one. I've only ever sat in one (Ernest Cline's ECTO-88 mashup).

    Hi Mario,

I'm sure your patience will be rewarded soon enough. I bought my car without even driving it or any others as well. After yard driving it in DMCFL's parking lot a week later, I waited 2+ years to drive it again (my choice as I wanted to fully restore it mechanically first). That gave me lots of motivation during the restoration, and I was not disappointed!

It's funny, I was just thinking about how it smelled in the garage when it arrived - like an old car (a combination of old grease, rubber & coolant, and musty odor). Now it almost smells like a new car.

From the pictures in your thread, I know that you have that new car smell for real!

I have only driven my own and that was only after restoring it over a 4 year span. When I first got my car it smelled like mice. Now it smells like a Delorean.
