    CV Joint rubber boot replacement

Well I thought I'd do something easy today. I pulled out the half shafts to replace the rubber boots. That was the easy part, 12 bolts each side, lots of grease but easy. So now I can't figure out how to get the CV joints off the shaft to get to the boots. I know there is a C clip in the end but I can't figure out how to get the cap of the joint.

What am I missing? Help. Again thanks!

Just tap it off gently with a hammer and screwdriver. Friction is holding it on.

Here is a very old non-DMC reference but it's pretty good.

Yep, a little tap with a screw driver and hammer and nothing left but grease. Another day of cleaning and we'll be ready to go.

    Thanks,
