    Delorean on Jalopnik Yet Again...

... this time for its tail lights. Our cars have been showing up in "main stream" media quite a bit lately!

Cool, with modified exhaust and skirt kit too!
eBay selling at it's best I can tell you stock Delorians and quite a bit of slugs so the Turbo is a super nice up-grade.

Yeah, there's even a DeLorean on the cover of this week's Austin Chronicle (full page). The cars definitely seem to have rounded some sort of a corner when it comes to respect as classic automobiles.

Nice exhaust plumbing on that D!

And I have to agree, next to the doors those tail lights scream 80's! I would buy a pair with a part of a rear bumper just to hang up and illuminate my man corner... And I say corner, because my house is unfortunately void of a man cave...

Reason why I don't is a rear bumper cover costs a whopping 1225, and a right and left tail lamp add another 240... Then add some budget for DIY wiring to make them light up... and voila... ~1600 dollar wallart... And a seriously unhappy wife.

    *LMAO*

Add a mirror to the license plate hole and you could get away with it.

Years ago I took a merchandising class in which I was told that fashion trends run roughly on a 30 year cycle. If this still holds true, stuff from the '80s should start to make a comeback now. Perhaps this is the case with our cars??

Interesting. I never considered the tail lights to be one of the car's stronger features. There's nothing overly clever or distinct about them, but at least its good publicity.
