    window regulators

Looking for driver and passenger window regulators. My passenger side tube is broken. My driver side gearbox is binding. Looking for options. I am looking for functioning units and driver side functioning gearboxes.

A1 electronics for new ones, or are you looking for used originals?

I would consider anything at this point that doesn't cost $500 a pair. I might be able to fix my passenger side unit. I can't fix my driver side. There is an issue inside the gearbox that prevents the motor shaft worm gear from staying in mesh with the spur gear. I could make use of partial units and complete units. If I have extra components I may be able to cobble 2 together.

I bought A1s and will be removing my old, fully functioning regulators in a week or two. Only replacing since the car is getting upholstered and the doors are apart. Would sell them for 150 for the pair.

Thought I'd post here as it is a question I had on window regulators...

I noticed on my passenger side, that the tube on the window regulator is blue in colour, yet the one on the driver's side is white.

I see the new replacements on Houston's page are blue.

Is this basically telling me that my passenger side got replaced at some point and my driver's is original? I have not bought or replaced either of those since I got the car in 2007.

    Does blue = new?

The A1's do have a blue tube and all metal configuration. If that's what you're seeing, its a replacement. If you see a lot of plastic, its DMC's finest OEM equipment

The more recent updated regulators have blue flexible tubing as Dave stated above and the earlier ones had red tubing. White plastic means an original DMC regulator.

Ed (DMC EU) sells a PAIR for about $360 (including shipping to the states). These are the same ones that DMCH sells for $339 EACH and appear to be the same as the A1 units. I bought these in March and they work GREAT.
