    Hello,

Like many of y'all, I have been in the market for a DeLorean since I was about 6 years old. I have lurked around on this site for along time, reading the pros and cons of ownership. I finally pulled the trigger a few months back and bought #3537. She was built Sep. 81, a 5 speed with black interior. She also has a BAE turbo.

Now I've owned some fairly fast cars in my time and after everything I've read or heard (whether it be true or not) I wanted to keep my expectations low for my first drive in 3537. I can't compare her to a stock Delorean, but once the turbo spools up around 3500-4000 RPM it really takes off!

I'm not much of a forum guy and probably won't post very often. But I have learned much from reading the board and I appreciate the time y'all have taken to help others keep their DeLoreans running and on the road. I just wanted to introduce myself and say thanks.

Also, I'm located in Houston, Heights area. So, if any of y'all are in the neighborhood and want to talk shop or get a beer give me a holler.

The way I see it, if you're gonna drive around in a car, why not do it with some style?

    Welcome, Mr Big

quick question - I thought a BAE turbo resulted in a single exhaust? Do you have an engine pic you could post

I don't always drive cars, but when I do, I prefer DeLoreans

No-one is to stone anyone, even, and I want to make this absolutely clear, even if they do say "carburetor"

Good eye, Dangermouse. I didn't notice it when I bought it, but the driver's side exhaust is fake. It was poorly welded on to the exhaust for symmetry, i'm guessing.

I'm fairly certain the kit came with a "dummy pipe" to make it appear dual exhaust. Most just didn't bother to install it.
