I have been reading the forum for the past year attempting to learn as much as I can about the DMC-12. I have purchased the "Illustrated Buyers Guide" to learn even more. Like a lot of folks I. have spent way too many hours on YouTube doing every more research. I am searching for a 1981 Model mostly due to the gas flap hood (this may change if I run into the "right" car ). I am located in North East PA.

....first time poster. (*edit* Apparently this is my second post. I'll need to go find that first one. HAHA!)
Delorean fanatic for a lifetime, I've been reading these forums for around a decade, and finally registered a few years ago as Delorean ownership began looking like a potential reality. REAL Delorean ownership, that is. My first Delorean was the the Red #10 Hot Wheels turismo style one, with the yellow stripes and the sponsor logos. I got that in 1979 and still have it.
In the summer of 2019 I finally bought my first real Delorean, #5483, a lifelong dream realized. 9,000 miles, original condition with maintenance records and necessary updates performed.
Happy to be here! Looking forward to engaging, sharing and learning.
