As it's a long time since I changed a set of front speakers the ones I used before are no longer available, what is the most up to date recommendation on fronts to fit an OE dash please? I seem to remember reading on the forum of someone in Europe (may have been in Germany) who can convert/update the original Craig radios to receive FM stations better would anyone have the contact details please?
    Thanks
    Chris

Hi Chris - you need to talk to Elvis, just PM him on the board here... he upgraded mine, and he did an amazing job of it. He added a new tuning chip, and aux connector, and repaired the display. A really talented guy!

I replaced my speakers a few months ago. I read through all the threads and looked at what was available and came out with these:

    Front: http://www.amazon.com/Infinity-Refer...ilpage_o03_s03

Rear: http://www.amazon.com/Infinity-REF-5...ilpage_o02_s00 (yep, they fit in the stock location with the stock mounting bracket)

I bought a pair of Kicker 3.5 inch speakers and the sound incredible. I updated them because the new Kicker speakers in the rear overpowered the Craig speakers in the front. Now you can clearly hear both sets. I have a modern Alpine head until.

I converted my Craig radio to bluetooth. Works great!

Too bad that the front ones are not available right now.
So the round one fits in the back?
    How do they sound?

Yeh, that's one of the issues I was having, that combined that we have even less choice/options over in the UK. I wish to keep everything stock looking so it's important to me to have the internals of my Craig radio updated. It (an ASI) works fine even keeps perfect time! But the frequencies are wrong for the UK. I understand you can change something in them for Europe?

Argh, sorry, I didn't notice that they're not available. They sound fine. I'm no audiophile - if I can hear the music and it's not distorted or anything, then I'm good with it. The entire system lacks bass. Others have highly recommended DMC CA's subwoofer for the cubby hole behind the driver's seat. I may go that route soon.

That's right Chris, the tuning chip... Elvis can do ASIs as well as Craigs if I remember rightly.

Front: http://caraudiosecurity.com/hertz-dc...ies-3-speakers (the mounting tabs need to be bent up, and back out as per the Infinity speakers when they were available)

    Rear: http://caraudiosecurity.com/referenc...-135w-speakers
