I got more volts from my altenator

I have a stock alternator that has had no work, when i was driving the volt needle was just above 13v

opened rear engine and sprayed into the alternator gaps right round it (with engine not going)

for a few seconds with wd40 (crc)

looks like it gave it a good clean including the contacts

now the volt gauge runs about 1 volt higher :-)
