1982 Delorean Only 500 miles, never registered, original Certificate of Origin, $50k

I have decided to sell my never registered 1982 Delorean. It has 500 miles on it and needs nothing! It runs nice and smooth and does not hunt. Everything works on it and I would consider it museum quality! Asking $50,000. Comes with an original luggage rack and ski rack new in the box as well as many other original items.

Located in Ashland, VA just north of Richmond.

    Welcome!
    Very low mile!
A couple things I noticed - the fascia looks to be repainted, and a rather pronounced hood dent near the emblem. Have you then done restorations to the car? Just wondering how original it is, as I would expect a car never registered with 500 miles to be completely untouched. This is not a dig, just want to get a clear picture of what has been done to it mechanically and cosmetically from original. The concorse buyers would then be out of the line-up. Also, the idle hunting is normal from what I have always been told, and an idle that does not hunt on start-up in the original setup might mean something is actually wrong. Members, please correct me if I am wrong on this.
    Good luck with the sale!

Very nice car... Can you share a little about the history of the car?
I also noticed you are missing the inner door seal...
    Best of luck!

Off topic, but needs to be addressed. Every seasoned b28 mechanic I have ever talked to has said, idle hunt can be considered normal, but a properly tuned engine does not hunt.
my car has been fully maintained by me for the last 20 years, and only did idle hunt once during a cold season, when the mixture was slightly off. It was re adjusted and corrected. I have gauges to confirm this....

No dent in the hood, its just a shadow from taking pictures in my friends garage. Yes some restoration was done as the car set for so many years. Any rubber that was cracked has been replaced with as original parts as possible. I wanted someone to get this car ready to drive including LED lights. The original parts go with the car should someone want to put cracked rubber parts back on....

Super! That helps clarify. As per the other member comments, we would all love to see more pics, as well as the car's story, and who did the restoration work to the car. It looks quite nice. The only restoration detail that bothers me (personally) a tad is the shiny fascia repaint. Originally the paint had a satin sheen to more match the look of the bare stainless (except for super early cars I believe?). Best of luck with the sale!
