    Luggage rack pictures needed

Can anyone provide nice, high res pictures of the brackets and associated hardware that goes along with the luggage rack?

    Also, mounting points, etc.

    Cheers.

I do hope you plan on engineering parts of the rack (stainless, perhaps?) and selling them... $368 is a bit steep for NOS.

None of these photos are my own be I've been collecting photos and information regarding the luggage rack and installation for a while, in anticipation of making my own some day. Still a project for the future.

Attached is a decent chunk of the stuff I've found

A while back I was working on trying to recreate the hardware required using pieces from McMaster, and SS round tube for the rack. I was working on this while I was in China so I had more free time. Now that I'm back, my free time has mysteriously vanished. At some point I want to actually try this, but I just haven't gotten around to it. Hopefully you'll be able to get further than me and actually build one

Thanks man. The rack model still needs adjustments as far as the overall dimensions are concerned. I made the model in China while I had no access to the car. Though the sizes of the pipes in thickness and diameter are correct and available through McMaster.

The main thing is the hardware. The hardware is based on pieces available on McMaster. They're just hinges that I was planning to stick in my vice to break 90 degrees and cut with a die grinder. I was also going to replace the pins with quick release pins so that the dangling part could actually be removed when not in use. Hopefully I can buy the pieces sometime soon and actually try it out. If it works, I'll try to post a how-to on how to make them.
