What does your own car's evolution look like?

I got to putting together some pictures for a "restoration album" to display at car shows. I have many from the same angle of the engine bay over the years. When looking at them in chronological order, it's fun to see how the car has changed since I've had it. For me that's been about 9 years. My God has it been that long?

I made a collection of engine bay photos and would be interested in seeing what others might be able to show of their own cars. Not just the engine bay though of course, other aspects too showing the before and after that paint a similar scene. Lots of little changes along the way as well as some big ones. Kind of fun to look back at. Enjoy!

The first two were from the original ad I saw online.

The next one was taken in October 2007 when I got the car, and the others taken since, right up until the last photo which was taken yesterday.

Man I'd love to put something like this together. I need to look around to see if I can find any of my really old photos from the early 2000s. Mine would go from a weathered dark gray rimmed, stock automatic, to a chrome rimmed, engine swapped manual, with a lot of other steps in between.

I did a few comparisons of before and after my chassis restoration. I've probably posted these before, but here they are again.

    Cheers,
Excellent work! It's really great to see what other people have done to their cars and be inspired for that next project.

Thanks! I wonder how I ever had the time to do all the work I did. These days I'm lucky if I change the oil on time.

Thanks Mark! I enjoy the challenge of gradually restoring this stainless icon.
