Electrical connector 'wire clasp' on CSV, CPR, etc.

I saw a link to the DeLorean Europe parts page recently and noticed they have a "connectors" section.

The part I want isn't there, so thought I'd ask if anyone knew where I could get them.

What I am looking for is the thin, little wire clasp that helps secure the electrical connector on top of a few items such as the CSV or the CPR. It is more or less in a 'U' shape yet has a couple slight bends in it on each end. At least one of mine isn't in very good shape and would be interested in putting in new replacements if available.

You can see a couple of those connectors on the rear harness image. All I want is the metal clip though for those connections.

I, too am interested in one of these. My WUR connector is missing the metal retaining piece.

Maybe this website can help. I think the ev1 female connector has the wire clip that you are talking about.

You can usually find an injector repair connector (i.e. the standard Bosch shell with about 6 inches of wire) in the "HELP" section of most auto parts stores. Worst case if the clip doesn't match, you can pop the electrodes out of the shell on your car and snap them into the replacement.

Just tried to order one and they are sold out. I'll check on Dave's suggestion.

My local Auto Zone didn't have anything.

But, I was able to do some searching online, and found this on Amazon:

I'll report back when I get it installed.

    Whooohooo... success!

Twas a real good day today for a DeLorean scavenger hunt.

I stopped in at the local shop in town that I've taken my car to over the years for bigger projects. He only does imports and has expertise in Bosch fuel systems, Volvos, etc. I described to him the wire clasps I was looking for, and just like how I try to always keep parts coming off of my car, he too had a bunch of parts off of some of the different cars he's worked on.

He very graciously gave me these. The harness these were removed from I believe he said were from an old Volvo of some kind. And with the newer, really awesome shape, we figured the guy that came up with this simple design improvement would have gotten a pretty big attaboy.

I'll see what I can do to track down how you might order these as replacements directly and not have to get lucky and find someone with an old, extra harness. You can see in the pic how my old ones compare to the new. Those are the two off the CSV and CPR. The replacements have the little extra flap of metal to pinch together for removal instead of trying to pick at them with your fingernail or little screwdriver. Much better now. Giddyup.

    ...ooooh, sideways-photo-itis. Sorry about that.

Good find! That looks like a more service friendly design.

That's one thing I enjoy about my restoration as well.... researching and hunting for obscure parts.

There's a store near me called Skycraft Parts & Surplus and it's a DIY'ers Mecca. I think it disrupts the space time continuum in some way, because I go in looking for a screw, wire, heat shrink, etc., and when I leave, 2 hours have passed!

So I really want some of these! Did he have extras?
