Where to mount "Emblem clips" SP10557

    Hello guys,

last time I removed my centre console I had these 2 clips falling from the console: http://www.delorean.eu/catalog/produ...ucts_id=129052
(they are not even listed on DMCH site, part #39 here http://www.delorean.eu/catalog/index...Path=19_31_129)
do you have a pic to see where they are mounted? I am guessing on the mounting bars, near the end towards the front of the car

    Many thanks

Look at the second photo in this post:

    http://dmctalk.org/showthread.php?10...l=1#post165448

See towards the rear of the car, bottom end of where the shifter is, that little flat bracket/bar going across? Are those the two clips you mean?

I looked at the parts website and agree it doesn't make sense from what you see there. I can't tell from that picture on the EU website whether they have holes across the centre of them, but if they do, this is what came to mind when I read your description of where you were looking.

    Hi there,

If you look at Jonathan's picture, they go in the forward holes in the bracket that have the little rectangle in them. It's a clip that grabs the smooth post in the shifter panel that go in those holes. The clips go in with the pointed end down.

    Hopefully that make sense.

    Cheers,
    Dana

    Hello guys,
they definitely aren't the clips on the small bracket at the base of the shifter, I attached a couple of pics of the clips I am talking about (the same displayed on dmc.eu website and missing from houston):

    I KNOW WHAT THEY ARE

They attach to the sides of the center console, and there are two brackets on either side that attach to the knee pads. There is a screw that goes through the hole on the clip and into the center console. Ill snap a photo for reference.

    Hi there,

I'm sorry. I guess a picture is worth a thousand words.

    Here is what I meant...

Clip installed pointed end down in the rectangular hole...

    It grabs the smooth post....

    2 clips installed....

You need to ensure that the thick wire harness that runs below the clip doesn't interfere during installation.
