81 DeLorean Grey 5spd for Sale

    1981 DMC-12 vin 7178 Nov Build
    3rd Owner
    34000 Miles
    5 speed, Grey Interior
    Always Garaged
    Located in Milford, CT

I am selling my DeLorean after owning it for 10 years. I had extensive work done to the car during my ownership including:

    Clutch Kit
    Clutch Master and Slave Cylinders
    Clutch Line
    Rebuilt Fuel Distributor
    New Fuel Injectors
    New Stainless Braided Fuel Lines
    New Fuel Pump
    Control Pressure Regulator
    Fuel Accumulator
    Exhaust Manifold Gaskets
    Motor Mounts
Water Pump and all Cooling System Hoses and Sensors
    Stainless Header Bottle
Radiator with DPNW low amp fans
AC Idler Bearings and accessory belts
Replaced 3 panels(Brand New Flat Hood, Left Rear Quarter Panel, Left Front Fender). I have the old damaged panels if you want them
    Tires are 8 years old
    AC Blows Cold(Uses R12)
    Other Miscellaneous Parts

Car was serviced at PJ Grady and by myself

Overall, the car starts up every time, runs very good and has a pretty smooth idle. The car is driven a few times a week and about 1000 miles a year. I focused much of my time and work on getting the car mechanically sound.
The interior is pretty good with the exception of the binnacle being cracked down the middle and the dashboard having some minor sunfading along with some other interior panels. I did install new leather seat skins from DMCH. The frame is pretty solid with the exception of some epoxy thats chipping away that would need to be scraped and painted.I am asking $26000.

Nice looking car at a nice price. If I were in my buying window this is a car I'd fly to go see.

Best of luck, shouldn't take long.

I could swear I posted a comment yesterday but it seems to have disappeared. My comment was and is that for a small amount of time and money you could greatly improve the condition of the frame. Some grinding, some POR 15 and some Rustoleum smoke gray and the frame might look a lot better.

Yes, the comment was deleted. Advice or a suggestion here and there is one thing, but to clutter a thread with negative opinions on worth/asking price is something we want to avoid. Your comment was piggy backed by another, and I cleaned both up. It's not fair to the seller.
in any event let's move forward.

    That said, glws.
