Northern Michigan Fall Color Driving Tour in September!

Hi gang. I am putting together a Fall Driving Tour in Northern Michigan this year and have mentioned this to a few other Michigan owners who showed a definite interest.

No definite dates are set yet, but I am looking to do this on a weekend in Late September.

Events will include (in no particular order at this time):

-A drive on beautiful M-119, known as "The Tunnel of Trees", which features breathtaking scenery in the fall as the leaves change colors. This is a very curvy road along the coast and is an absolute blast to drive in a DeLorean and stop to take in all of the sights along the way.

Here's a brief video showcasing just a bit of the drive:

-A stop for lunch and beer and wine tasting at Pond Hill Farm:

-Some time in Mackinaw City, including a stop at Historic Mill Creek as well as Colonial Michilimackinac.

-Depending on how many owners are interested in participating in this weekend, I may be able to line up a boat cruise under the Mackinac Bridge (no promises being made at this time):

Does this strike anyone's interest? If so, let me know as I will be putting details together over the next few months!

I'd be interested! However I'll be in the area for work and won't have my DeLorean with me.

Sound like fun. Very interested. It's been too long since we saw you live in person :-) Any suggestions on any B&Bs or hotels? Would like to make a long weekend out of it.

Dates are set! Friday, September 23rd through Sunday, September 25th. Rooms in Harbor Springs are available at the Best Western and will likely fill up fast as we get closer to the fall, as this is a very popular destination for tourists and other car and motorcycle clubs.

Other hotel options are located in nearby Petoskey, Michigan which is a 20 minute drive or so from the Best Western. At the time of this posting, the Best Western seems to have the most reasonable rates for these dates.

I hope to see many of you there!
