Cleaning the Air Intake? What does everyone use.

I was wondering what everyone uses to clean their Air Intake? I don't want to damage it but wouldn't mind it being cleaner.

My VIN:    Banged your VIN'S mom

As if I ever took mine off like that, I would just refinish it.

Maybe you could have a local machine shop bead blast that for you.

You could also clean it up with engine degreaser and paint with engine enamel.

Vapor/water blasting is where it's at if you want a clean/perfect factory look.

Thanks a lot. I’m looking for some place around me (Chicagoland) to have it done.

    intake manifold

I spent many days grinding, sanding and
buffing it until it gleamed like chrome. knocking
off the rough casting edges really dresses it up.
No I don't know how to upload photos from
my flip phone. I'm sure someone has taken a
shot of it. [The car with the SS Spoiler and
