    Help identifying plug

    Hi Guys,

My fuel pump won't run after re-assembling my engine (brand new fuel pump and sender combo unit from DMC), so I've taken the center console out to trace the main harness.

What is this plug? I noticed in the video on how to remove the console, it wasn't plugged into anything. The previous owner has tapped a wire off this plug, though a switch, then run the wire though to the engine bay (where it wasn't attached to anything).

My first thought is this plug is related to an automatic transmission, hence why it's not plugged into anything in my car?

Could be, as mine doesn't have a clock, I think the previous owner just wanted the 12 volts from it.

Thank you, this confirms my theory that the previous owner was a muppet

You can get 12v off of that? I always figured it was for the clock I dont have, but I never though to use it to power my underglow.

Yeah it's for the clock and all DeLorean's have it. Kinda like the wiring harness that the next door for the side mirrors That was supposed to get the heating elements that would activate with the rear window defogger switch.
