Not sure if I've seen this posted before...

Our oddly oversized cigar lighter means that modern accessories tend to wobble and have a poor connection. One quick mod I do that improves every device (where possible) is to pop out one side of the negative connections from the device. Usually a flat blade screwdriver (or something similar) is all it takes. Just slide in the screwdriver, pop out the tab, and it's good to go.

Attached is a picture of a USB charger that I recently purchased. In stock form it worked but wobbled around and fell out easily. After popping out one of the negative tabs so it rests on the outside of the case, the added spring tension keeps it firmly anchored in the socket.
