And...if you can afford it. Hire the Brits to come out and install them for you.

Were these mounted incorrectly like Bill's? I could see that putting stress on them and snapping them if they couldn't move side-to-side.

Yes - I concur that at this time, DMCH, DMCH-related shops, are all selling the same "UK" ball joint.

Would you be able to measure the taper dimension of the joints in your uninstalled control arms?

A lot of this thread is predicated on the H&A arms having VW ball joints, but AFAIK that isn't 100% confirmed at this point.

I brought this thread to Byrne Heninger's attention via email. His response was: "We have been using the ball joint configuration for over eight years. without incident. thank you for your interest. Byrne"

As a mechanical engineer (who has nothing against ANY vendor) I am concerned about Byrnes reply, I know of the UK clubs research which has been done over a few years, and am shocked that he would not at least take an interest in it. His joints may well be fine but he should at least review the data....

Exactly - so fix your website!

Say it loudly... say it proudly... our ball joints have nipples!

I ended up buying a set of the UK ball joints last week from the U.K. club. The total cost for a PAIR was $97.13 including shipping. Not bad at all.

Lol, me too before the news came that everyone carries them. No one advertises that they have the "good UK built ones" so...
