Hi, all!
Pretty soon, I will relocate to Long Island, New York.
I see that there's a Mid-Atlantic Club and a New England Club. Which one is closest to the Stony Brook area?
Thanks in advance -

Oh wow, I can't believe you're leaving New Orleans! About 20 miles from PJ Grady, too... pretty cool! Bill & I went to a DMA event several years back in Northern NJ. The DMA holds events all throughout the tri-state area, Long Island included. Great group of folks- probably the largest and most active group of DeLorean owners on the planet.
How is Sparky coming along, by the way?

I don't always drive cars, but when I do, I prefer DeLoreans

No-one is to stone anyone, even, and I want to make this absolutely clear, even if they do say "carburetor"

Thanks, Louie! I'll look into the DMA. I think I'm already friends on Facebook with some of their membership.
It's sitting in NC waiting for work to be done. Bill R has #2613's future powerplant in his garage -- a 3.0L that ran fine when pulled, and has been sitting full of oil ever since. Unfortunately, although I originally thought work toward the car's revivification would commence in May, Bill's schedule and mine have failed to line up due to various commitments for both of us.
I'll be in NC for Thanksgiving. Perhaps after the holiday I will make my way to Bill's and we can start work, but Bill has things he has to take care of first. When I move to NY, I will have things to do, as well, like setting up my recording studio so that I can start working again ASAP. Maybe we'll get #2613 on the road before winter, and maybe not. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Unfortunately, it was my idea to make "Gulf Coast DeLoreans" a thing ... and then I ran out of time for it, and look what happened.

Welcome to Long Island
How about the LINY-DMC (Long Island New York Delorean Motor Club)!
We are small but active. You just missed our 8th Annual Road Rally that we coordinated with the PJ Grady Tech Session.
There are events and tech sessions all the time (including this weekend!).

The DMA is having it's Fall Tour October 22-23. Although you won't have your car ready you could still join and meet the club. Or you can go to the holiday event. Anyway you can go over to the website and join up. While there is a lot of Deloreans on "the island" there are a LOT of them in the Tri-State area, so Welcome. We look forward to seeing you at local events. Get the car running and maybe you will be able to make the parade in Ship Bottom on Long Beach Island this winter. Always a fun event even if it is usually cold.

I'll miss the Fall Foliage Tour. We won't arrive until the beginning of November.
Tom, how did you know I was the newest member? That was fast. LOL
