SEDOC Freeside Tech session – April 30th 2011

As this session was scheduled just as the old site went down, several old-timers presumably didn’t get the address and therefore didn’t show (Ryan, eflexx…) So here is a recap of buddy’s 2930 frame off/mouse hunt. I’ll let him chip in with other details.

When I got there at about 10, the separation was complete and they were in the process of lifting the tub. I’m not sure when everybody got there but at some point the following were there – buddy, sean, runDMC, Derek, Mark C, and new owner Doug

The frame looks in great condition, once the mice homes have been removed.

No-one is to stone anyone, even, and I want to make this absolutely clear, even if they do say "carburetor"

Eflexx, AKA Barry, was there he fixed his hot start issue with a new set of PPR o-rings. Order a new boot yet? You guys need to organize another meet somewhere, maybe Eric's or Derek's?

gosh darn it, you are right. Sorry Barry, of course you were there.

We should take "family photos" at these events to aid the memory.

Really we should be getting group shots each time. I honestly wish I didn't have to be somewhere that night. I could have stayed at freeside easily til midnight doing stuff. I mean we were rolling!

    Thanks for posting the pictures!

It was a very productive tech session I think. I didn't get around to fixing anything on 2072, but that's okay….

And it turns out the grill master was in jail for driving with a suspended license, hence the rush job on the grill out. Oh well, it was still good!

I'm down for the next tech session….. I'll let you guys know when I'm ready to put 2930 back together.

Seems I cannot post to group photos from android or iOS. Will have to do it when I have pics on computer.

Anyone know if there is a forum app?

    Freeside tech session photos?

I'm putting together a post for Freeside's blog about the separation of 2930. If you have any pictures from that day and haven't sent them to me already, please either email them to me or post them here.

    Thanks!

Oh.. and we are at Marriott this year. If she is not ready, perhaps we could still have a group of non-BTTF cars in parade.
