Road trip was a giant 900 mile success with only one mild 3 hour break down . Full write up to follow when I have time

Buttoned up under the hood. Reinstalled panels. Cut backer board and carpet to fit DMC midwest bar . Washed carpet and used 3m 77 adhesive to secure it to board . Much better .20170904_151029.jpg20170904_155533.jpg20170904_153944.jpg20170904_161354.jpg20170904_162718.jpg

I really enjoyed reading this thread - initially all the work you did - roofbox, strut mounting etc I've done to mine. I'm about to start on the new rad/fans/new fuel tank, water pump etc to get my baby fired up and like you "bring another back from the dead".
