I have those same stripes you had. Mine are looking pretty sad. What method did you use to get them off?

good question, I'd be interested to know too. I had some weird orange pinstriping on one of my doors and i spent hours with acetone and razor blade carefully removing it.

It honestly was pretty easy. I expected to have to use heat but didn't have to. I soaked a rag with acetone and wiped the stripe with it. Then used a sharp new blade by hand and kept the blade angle shallow and started at the front and worked my way back. It came off pretty easy. Then wipe the same area with acetone to clean the adhesive off. I did the whole car in an hour. I did one panel at a time . Once you get the stripe off the fender for example with the blade . Go back over the adhesive with the blade again to get as much material off as possible. Then the acetone takes off the rest pretty easily. The car will at least need a hand blending pad to hide the shinier metal that used to be under the stripe .

Seems simple enough. I'll get around to doing this... one day.
