I called John in August and he said he didn't have any more early accumulators and it had been a while since someone inquired about them. Soon after, when I found the close universal match that just needed a short pipe extension, I pitched the product idea to him as he sells the early hose as well. I never heard back, so I don't know if he made the product.

Regardless, I still intend to stick with the early accumulator, I just haven't gotten around to making it yet.

If anybody knows a vendor that is still selling the NOS original version, please let me know.

Classic Air in FL can probably rebuild or make it. They do all kinds of custom work. Don't expect it to be cheap. IMHO it isn't worth it. Convert to the newer style.

Thanks for the tip David. I'll call them but I already have a line on a $20 universal unit that is perfect except it needs a bottom pipe. I also found a place that will custom build the pipe for $15-$20. I just need to measure the pipe when I take my AC system apart. I am trying to avoid converting to the new style as I really like how the hoses on the early accumulator are tucked in close to the frame. If I'm successful I'll share the knowledge with the community. Right now I'm busy with the gearbox.

Edit: assuming this post was for me not the OP.
