    Car cover

For those times that I want to take the car on a weekend trip, I'd like to have a car cover. Do you have one that you'd part with?

Expensive but good - the one DMC sells for $179. Fits perfectly, folds up nicely into the bag it comes in. As waterproof as a cover can be but still be "breathable".

Cheap but OK for a year or so of use - Walmart @ $25. Not waterproof at all, more of a garage dust cover.

I've used both and prefer the DMC Cover, we've used the Walmart covers inside the shop for years on "stored" cars.

Really though, on a trip, the last thing I want to do is wad up a soaking wet car cover and stuff it into the trunk.

The DMC cover is worth it. I have stored my car inside and out with it. It's solid, breathes well but is still 99% waterproof and has nice tie downs and locks

I wouldn't hesitate to pay $200 for the DMC cover if I stored my car outside. I'm talking about covering the car maybe 5 times a year on weekend trips around California in the summer. I'm mostly looking to avoid tree sap and cat prints.

    Ah, I see.

I don't think you're going to beat walmart prices. but you'd want one that stores in a bag for travel.

I've bought one at Walmart and one at Kmart. Both came with a bag. If I remember right, the Walmart one fit better than the Kmart one.

They stop cat prints, but bird poop soaks right through and makes a white spot on the car.... though not as bad as without a cover would have been.

I mostly bought mine to stop prying eyes from spotting my car and proceeding to sit on the hood for a selfie.

    I have a budge cover.

I put it on whenever the car is in the garage. Here in NYC lots of activity in the garages and the exhaust from other cars sticks to the stainless. This prevents this.

I also have the Budge cover and purchased tie-down straps from Amazon. Haven't had any issues and the fit is great!

Below are the items I purchased:

Okay, thanks for this info, guys. If I don't hear of a used or unneeded DeLorean cover at a good price, I'll probably grab this one.
