    Stainless Delorean Fuel Tank Cover

Hell was wondering if anyone had a Stainless Delorean Fuel Tank Cover that is styled just like the originals that they would be interested in selling ? I know many of the vendors have the flat ones in stainless but I would prefer the original look in stainless like PJ Grady use to sell. I am going to purchase a new one soon so please let me know . Thank you

In any event, you would be well advised to drill more drain holes in it. You may be surprised to learn how long those plates will hold water.

Most likely brake or clutch master fluid and not water.

That stuff never dries and slowly eats the metal.

I've seen it first hand fortunately I had very little on my plate.

Yes I guess if no one on here has one they want to sell, I will just have to keep an eye until one shows up on EBay. Thanks

I searched for about 5 years before I finally bought one. I checked my records and mine was purchased on eBay from user polardog65. The design of the plate matches the OE plate with the drain channels and formed center section.

I paid around 400 bucks for it at the time and it arrived damaged during shipping so the seller gave me a partial refund. I was able to pay a shop to have it repaired, but haven't installed it on my car yet.

Prior to that I had a guy from Norway offer to sell me one for $1000.

Is your stainless one the same gauge as the original?

They hold a lot of water from the windshield drain. The original has the triangle shaped drain channels for this reason.

Not such a big deal due to the stainless, but stainless up against carbon steel is a corrosion point so it's still a good idea to keep it drained.

The ebay seller that I bought mine from may still have a few on hand. It might be worth sending him a message through eBay to see if he's got any left or might be doing another run of them sometime soon.
